Project Overview

BBP Solicitors current phone system was coming to the end of its rental plan and they wanted to review their current services and explore new options available to them which would offer the business a new and improved more up to date system moving forward. This was driven by the need to consolidate its communications infrastructure along with required functionality and reduce costs across its telecom’s estate.

Having received a proposal from their current provider, BBP Solicitors decided to contact Tech Advance after an online search for a suitable provider.

The review included consideration of all existing running costs for broadband, telephone lines, calls, system maintenance costs etc.

The Solution

Having taken advice on both cloud phone and traditional on-site phone systems, BPP Solicitors chose to proceed with a new Cloud Phone system from Tech Advance. The new Cloud phone offered more in terms of flexibility and reliability than the traditional system, with costs working out even less than they had been paying for the older system.

Operating across 2 sites, one in Morecambe and the other in Lancaster, the Cloud system provided the most resilient system with the best disaster recovery set up. It also offered the business a very flexible way of handling main number calls across reception facilities at either site. A full reception position was enabled at both sites and the new systems were able to be installed onto the existing network cabling in each site easily.

The firms existing telephone lines were migrated over to IP Telephony, making the solution a cheaper, yet more efficient and resilient alternative. Furthermore, the new solution was scalable, making the addition of new staff members and handsets easier.
